This is a standard 2x6" subway kitchen backsplash. It is trimmed with metal stainless trim.

The floor is ceramic tile made to look like wood. No more worrying about water leaks ruining your hardwood flooring. The previous tile floor and backsplash from the early 90's had to be removed down to the subfloor. Unfortunately the lower cabinets were set directly onto the old tile floor which meant all lower cabinets needed to be removed to do the job correctly.

This is 1" Subway Glass Mosaic finished with Stainless Steel Schluter Trim. Removing old tile set over sheet rock almost always results in having to install both. The old tile will pull out large chunks of sheet rock and will also leave old mortar and tile chips behind. This installation called for removing both and installing new sheet rock prior to the counter top installation.

I like that the owner chose to only use the glass between the stove and hood. The colors and texture of this glass mosaic may have been too dark in my opinion.

This is milk glass mosaic tile over soap stone counters. I like how the tile looks like tarnished copper. It's a nice contrast of colors with the charcoal stone and stainless.

This is stainless steel mosaic tile surrounded by random pattern glass tile with cut out mosaic dots. The stainless tiles (which cannot be cut to fit) are 1/16th of an inch thick next to the glass which is 3/8ths of an inch thick. Of course all surfaces need to be flush which requires a build up of the surface beneath the steel tiles.
